Workshop Family now and then by Željka Jelavić

This year`s ETNOFILm dedicated a part of it`s program to the youngest of us. In a cooperation With Juraj Dobrila Elementary school in Rovinj, the Festival brings a film analysis workshop by Željka Jelavić – curator and museum educator in Ethnographic Museum in Zagreb.

Željka Jelavić is the author of many educational programs, exhibitions; editor of different professional newspapers and anthologies but her specialty is her devotions for working with children of different needs and possibilities.

Curator and museum pedagogue Željka Jelavić will hold Family now and then workshop. The aim is to motivate students to consider the dynamic changes in family relations, the historical and cultural context of family relations and to connect personal experience with the wider social and cultural context through a series of analyses of audiovisual examples and common discussions.

Students will watch one of Croatia`s early ethnographic films – „One day at the collective of Turopolje” made in 1933. by Drago Chloupek and Aleksandar Gerasimov. The film won a prize at„Festival dei Popoli“ in Florence in 1960.

The workshop will be held on 28th of April 2016., at 9:45 at Multimedia center (MMC) Rovinj.
