Haight-Ashbury is a district of San Francisco that gained historical significance in the 1960s as the centre of counter-culture movements. Today, it is a commercialised tourist attraction, but also a gathering place for homeless people and young travellers whose lives differ significantly from those of the local inhabitants who do not accept them.
